The income of online gambling in Spain grew up by one forth during the second quarter of 2017
The Spanish gambling regulator, Dirección General de Ordenación del Juego (DGOJ), presented local gambling market data, according to which, during the second part of the year, online gaming profit rose up by $142.39 million or by 22.6% versus to the first quarter.
Sport betting revenue increased by 12.3%, up to $70.55 million in comparison with the same period last year. The casino's operating income had more than doubled by 52.5%, up to $50.36 million.
Slot machines generated income that is by 84% more in relation to the 2nd quarter of 2016 – up to $25.24 million, and live dealer games – by 65%, up to $11.15 million. The number of active online gamers went up by 7% year on year – 646 000 people.
Note: The Spanish online poker sector continues its rapid growth within several financial reference periods. In the second quarter, poker revenues increased by 5% over the last year.
