Slotegrator's focus for 2022: product, customer, innovation — Yury Filipchanka in an interview with Login Casino

To ring in the new year, Yury Filipchanka, Managing Director of Slotegrator, was interviewed by Login Casino. In the interview, he talked about the current state of the online entertainment industry and the company’s plans for 2022.

Online business media outlet Login Casino talked to Yury Filipchanka, Managing Director of Slotegrator, on the eve of the new year. In the interview, Yury talked about the changes in the iGaming industry, as well as upcoming trends in 2022.

Login Casino: What goals did Slotegrator set for itself in 2021? What challenges did the company face in realizing them?

Yury Filipchanka: I don't think my answer will surprise you. In addition to hitting financial targets, the company aimed to strengthen its position in a highly competitive environment, as well as to expand into new markets. I can confidently say we reached the point we wanted to. We faced the same obstacles as everyone else — namely, the pandemi situation, which affected all industries, not just gambling and betting. The cancellation or postponement of industry conferences meant we couldn’t network and catch up with partners like we’re used to doing, but we found ways around that.

LC: Were you able to reach your goals for 2021?

YF: Yes. We had to change and adapt, but we definitely got where we wanted to go.

LC: Which achievements of the past year is Slotegrator most proud of?

YF: I could talk about this for a long time.

Despite the difficult times we’ve all faced, we have managed to strengthen our team with qualified people. This is a good start, as a good team is the foundation of success. We also released a unique new product, Telegram Casino, which we’re very proud of. It’s good to see that our team’s hard work is being recognized — we’ve been nominated for several awards. For example, the SBC Awards 2021 nominated Slotegrator for White Label Supplier of the Year, as well as Rising Star in Casino Innovation for our revolutionary Telegram Casino solution.

LC: What key changes do you think the iGaming industry experienced in 2021? In what way has the pandemic affected the development of the industry?

YF: This year has shown that we shouldn’t count on the pandemic situation to improve any time soon. Businesses of all kinds have been forced to adapt in order to remain productive. When it comes to our industry, it was important for operating companies to meet players’ demands during the lockdown. Virtual sports and live dealer games in particular showed serious growth. We also saw some virtual conferences and events, which aren’t quite the same as the real thing, but definitely worthwhile.

LC: Which areas of iGaming show the most potential to grow in popularity in the near future, in your opinion?

YF: I see a growing trend towards more Live Casino and TV games, and I definitely see that continuing. Also, the industry's major operating companies have a reasonable demand for high-speed content delivery, for gamification mechanics, and for responsible gaming. Moreover, there is a trend toward legalization in many jurisdictions around the world, something we’re always happy to see.

LC: Which markets performed the best? And which markets are you planning to focus on in 2022?

YF: Eastern Europe has been a priority for us for a long time, so it's not surprising that we’ve had our best results in this region. At the same time, we see vast potential in the markets of Asia, Latin America, and Africa. We’re planning to strengthen our position in these regions. Of course, whenever you expand into a new part of the word, you have to get to know the culture and the mentality of the people, so needless to say, we’re already working on it.

LC: What are Slotegrator's goals for 2022? Will the company's strategy change?

YF: We are quite pragmatic about our plans. We have a clear vision of where we are now, where we want to be, and what resources we would need to ge there. Our focus for 2022 boils down to three words: product, customer, innovation. The product is at a qualitatively new stage of its life; were working closely with our partners and clients to develop it further. The customer — no comments necessary at this point: if the client is satisfied, we are happy. And innovation is not a buzzword. It’s our mission to invent new features, implement them, and help our clients stay competitive. Fortunately, our team definitely has the resources and creativity to make that happen.

LC: What innovations will Slotegrator introduce in 2022?

YF: Good question! But I don't want to answer you now with specifics and spoilers. However, I’m able to say that our products will surprise our customers and partners. I'd be glad to talk with you in 2022 and show you what we’ve accomplished.
