The MGA (the Malta Gaming Authority) informed about the launch of a new licensee management system. The whole project is being executed in collaboration with the company Microsoft hosted in a separate section of the official webpage page of the MGA.

|In terms of the first stage of the project, the regulator is going to launch three key Internet services:

  1. Applications for online gaming licenses.
  2. Dynamic input of URL requests.
  3. Reports on gambler’s responsibility and tax reports.

The regulator points out that the newly-created system is aimed at the most important matters of the industry:

  • normalization of local operators’ functioning;
  • improvement of bilateral ties between the MGA and its clients;
  • effective functioning of local licensees.

The second stage of the project presupposes introduction of special online gambling programs. According to Joseph Cuschieri, the CEO of the MGA, the said project will cover all sectors of the iGaming industry including lotteries, bingo, casinos and slots.

Cuschieri pointed out that the Maltese regulator is always eager to be one step ahead and exceed expectations of all the participants of the iGaming market.

Note please: Malta is one of the highly-sought gambling jurisdictions. In the middle of July 2017, there has been introduced a legislative reform stipulating matters of gambling control.

Following the results of the first quarter of the current year, the MGA issued 50% more gambling licenses than in 2016
