Online operators to meet updated regulation in New Jersey
New Jersey's gaming regulator introduced new regulation for online casino and poker operators. It is reported that the regulatory policy to remain unchanged for gambling organizations, however, these recent updates may lead to some developments in the Internet gaming business.
New rules will include following terms:
- Unlimited number of bets in live blackjack games.
- Obligatory ISO certification of casino employees.
- Ban on the usage of email by online casino customers. Instead, gamblers will have to provide a current address of residence.
- Introduction of guidelines to rise users’ awareness on the issue of responsible online gaming.
- Online casino gamers will be able to lock their accounts themselves, without using self-exclusion systems.
- Stricter security requirements for gaming software, in particular for online casino gaming suppliers.
- Provisional rules will be changed to standing rules within blackjack and slots.
- User account will be blocked after 5 failed attempts to use the ACH & Direct Deposit method.
Note: in July, the New Jersey online gaming market generated over $20 million.
